About Me

Hello! Thanks for stopping by!

My name is Sydney Miller and I am a writer and video storyteller with a heart for people and ministry.

My education and background are in broadcast journalism and I was a breaking news reporter out of college. I entered the industry with the bright-eyed-bushy-tailed mission of sharing the “good news” stories. Long story short I was told that “good news doesn’t sell” and was usually sent to cover up close and personal whatever awful, tragic thing happened overnight. I was the overnight/early morning reporter, and as my parents always told me growing up, “Nothing good happens after midnight.” I can personally attest that this is 100% true.

After witnessing up close and personal people’s worst days of their lives over and over, I could literally feel the life getting sucked out of me. I was told that in the news industry, you either become numb to human pain and suffering or the things you cover eat you alive. Well, neither was a good option, but I definitely didn’t want to become numb to suffering. So as an extreme empath, it ate me alive. This wasn’t a sustainable way to live.

God made it very clear that He had other plans for me so I left my news career with no plan B. But as He always does, God was faithful and provided me with an opportunity to tell the good news stories after all just in a different - a better way than I could have ever imagined.

He was inviting me to tell His Stories.

I started working for a Christian ministry in Haiti that had captured my heart years prior on short-term mission trips. For four years, I was blessed to write, shoot, edit, and tell some of the most incredible transformation and miracle stories that God was writing in Haiti, namely through children with special needs. It was one of these little boys with special needs, Frantzky, who lit the fire in my heart to speak up for the voiceless and share the stories of people you’d otherwise never hear of.

Today, I’m a writer and editor for the Tim Tebow Foundation, an incredible ministry working to bring Faith, Hope, and Love to those in their darkest hour of need; the world’s Most Vulnerable People (MVPs).

I see so clearly how God has weaved every detail of my story and career intentionally to get me to where I am today: telling His Stories around the world.

I believe that every life tells a story. My passion is sharing these stories, especially the ones that highlight the shared beauty, trials, and triumphs of humanity. We all have a lot more in common than we do different and we all have the same destination: heaven.

Keep living your unique, unrepeatable story!

God bless,

Sydney
